Well done to all who won an award at the presentation. One person Sparky forgot to thank on the evening was himself. For those of you who don't realise, Mark has spent hours sorting out last years and career stats. Well done to him and thanks to Mandy for putting up with him!

| Yes, it was a really good quiz night and nice to raise £217 for the club. Thank you to Pagham, Arundel Castle, Madehurst and Singleton for supporting it and to Rewby for creating some excellent jokers - for those of you who weren't there they have to be seen to be believed. Really looking forward to the team night out on the 23rd and then there's the presentation on 13 November. You should all have a menu by now but if not then just let me know... |

| Nice to hear from one of our vice presidents and glad James enjoyed coming up to watch some of the last game. The main reason for this message however was to look back at the season and to say well done and a big thank you to everyone who done their bit. Winning the Downland Cup was a high but a lot goes into running things on a week to week basis from captains to groundsmen to teas and scoring, not forgetting the website and the purchse of a new mower! |

| Very enjoyable half hour spent with the team yesterday and it was a privilege to be intorduced to Peter who, according to Gordon, had caught his first catch for 37 yrs. Congratulations who said thet the Youth Opportunity schemee offered no winners. Rita informed me she produced 5 different cakes not four as reported so I can confirm that the team keeps focused on essentials. Well done. |

A couple of dates for your diaries - the fundraising quiz night is at Singleton on Saturday 3 October and the club presentation is likely to be Friday 13 November. Please support them both. The quiz was a great night last year and raised around £300 for the club whilst the presentation is a must for all including players, partners, officials and supporters.  |

Just in case you don't know, the touring game at Singleton on Saturday 29th August is now off.

Firstly the committee meeting scheduled for the 28th has now been moved to the 21st - same venue and time. Secondly a message for the Judge - yes you are moving on up that bowling table but we have not updated the stats lately not least as Matt is away. | I can't help but notice that I am still apparently bottom of the bowling stats and also that my highest score is incorrect, I do hope that this is soon to be rectified as I am getting a number of loyal fans complaint E-mails sent to me through my 'Thomas 'judge' Lighfoot appreciation society' web site. |
