Having arrived at Lavant's ground on a beautiful day and assessing the wicket

it was crucial to win the toss. We didn't. As a result we were put into bat and struggled

as we lost opener Rew Reed to what can only be described as the most unorthadox

catch in the covers. From there on in good bowling from Lavant ensured no real partnerships

got going by taking regular wickets and taking the upper hand bowling Boxgrove out for 79.

In reply Lavant batted out 30 overs to chase down the runs losing only one wicket.
