Boxgrove went to Singleton for a 40 overs a side game, again missing most of the batsmen in the team due to injury. Boxgrove lost the toss and were put into bat.

Reed and Ockwell opened the batting and progressed slowly on a very wet pitch. After 20 overs, Boxgrove had 42 on the board, but had not lost a wicket. Ockwell then played across a straight one and was bowled. Chamberlain then joined Reed at the crease but runs were still difficult.

When Reed was out for 28 Wayne Barrett went in to try and increase the run rate. This was not helped by Chamberlain getting run out for 15 and McGeough joined Barrett at the crease. The run rate increased slightly but Barrett was soon out for 6. That brought Langton came to the crease. He hit his first shot straight to cover and was caught for a duck. Aiden Mant came in to prevent the hat-trick, but failed. He was bowled by Williams after backing away. McGeough was then out for 4 trying to force the run rate and Damian Langton added to the tally of ducks and although Glasspool scored 6 and Paul Mant 4 the way team finished with a well below par total of 85 all out off 39.3 overs.

After tea, Boxgrove opened with Reed and Mant and despite some near missed failed to capture the early wickets necessary to put pressure on the Singleton batsmen. Langton replaced Reed without success and then McGeough replaced Mant also without success. Chamberlain came on and finally dismissed Jack Davies for 49 courtesy of a fine catch by Rew Reed. Runs continued to flow and Singleton reached their target with 18 overs to spare, with Martin Davies 31 not out and Steve Doel 3 not out.
